In 2023, I was running a fashion e-commerce store in Karachi. Business was good until I started noticing a pattern.
18% of my COD orders were fake. People ordering expensive items with no intention to pay. Each rejected order cost me Rs 5,000-10,000 in shipping, packaging, and time.
I tried everything: manual verification, calling customers, checking social media. But it was impossible to scale. I was spending 3-4 hours daily fighting fraud instead of growing my business.
That's when I realized: every e-commerce store in Pakistan faces this problem. And there was no good solution.
So I built Shippley. An AI-powered system that catches fake COD orders before you ship them.
